HIGH SCHOOL SONGWRITING CONTEST

PRESENTED BY MENTORS IN MOTION

Below you will find the contest information for the 3rd MENTORS IN MOTION SONGWRITING CONTEST for St. Louis City and County high schools. The goal of the contest is to promote creativity, attendance, and enjoyment of education throughout St. Louis, through the Arts. The contest will also give the kids a chance to utilize their skills and collaborate with their peers, this will also raise awareness for the development of at-risk youths through Science, Technology, Reading, Entrepreneurship, Arts, and Math (STREAM) programs.

 

The information listed it to give each participating student/school insight to how the contest is set up and the requirements for participation and submissions. The winning school of the contest will receive a Five Thousand ($5,000) dollar scholarship presented by MIM.

Criteria

CONTEST CRITERIA

  • All participant(s) must be enrolled in St. Louis City & County High Schools

  • Limit one (1) entry per participant(s).

  • Submissions must not contain profanity, violence, sexual content, bashing of religion or sexual orientation group, etc.

  • All submissions must be accompanied by beats available on the Mentors in Motion Website.

  • Submission should entail how students would have a positive impact bettering themselves, the community, neighborhood, school, family, or peers.

  • Submissions may not exceed ninety (90) seconds.

  • Submissions must be Video and/or Audio only.

  • Submissions can cover any genre of music.

  • Submissions must not violate any copyright or defamation laws.

  • Submissions must be received by @ 12 noon CST on submission date.

  • Submissions must be the participant's original work.
